How to build a ranked trio in Apex

Apex Legends is a three-player battle royale where chemistry decides everything: a timely revive, a grabbed banner and a coordinated rotation matter more than raw aim. Random squads rarely play that tight, so a regular trio is far more consistent in ranked. GSPOT helps you put one together.

Legend roles

Assault — aggressive fragging and entries (Wraith, Bangalore, Ash).
Skirmisher — mobility and repositioning (Octane, Pathfinder, Horizon).
Support — heals, revives and carries the resources (Lifeline, Newcastle).
Controller — locks down zones and anchors positions (Caustic, Wattson, Catalyst).
Recon — scans enemies and reads rotations (Bloodhound, Seer, Crypto).

Ranks and RP

The ladder stretches from Rookie to Predator through Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Master, with RP awarded for kills and placement. GSPOT players list their rank in the profile, so the trio forms at the right level — a Gold will not get thrown into a Diamond lobby before even landing.

What makes a good teammate

Constant pings (enemies, loot, rotations), sticking with the squad instead of scattering across the map, staying calm after a lost fight and complementary legends for a balanced comp. If you want a regular trio for the ranked season, flag it in your profile. Searching locally in your own city works too.

Yes: the rank from Rookie to Predator is a profile field and the filter runs on it — your trio comes together from players at your level.

Do I need voice chat in Apex? +

It helps a lot: the ping system is strong, but voice speeds up rotations and clutches. You can note in your profile that you want teammates who hop on voice.
